Terms of use

Acceptance

By creating an account or using Ask'a, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Ask'a is a messenger that runs on its own server at aska.chat. You can use it in the browser, as an installable PWA, or with the classic ICQ clients listed on the main page. Access costs 4.99 USD for 30 days; see Payments.

Eligibility: 18+

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ask'a, because the service includes people search.

UIN assignment and release

Each account receives a UIN assigned from a counter. UINs are shown in groups of three digits: 100000 is written as 100-000.

After 365 days without a login, and after the paid period has ended, the UIN is closed. A closed UIN may later be assigned to a new registrant.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ask'a to break the law, to harass, threaten or impersonate other people, to send spam, or to disrupt the server or other people's access to it.

No affiliation

Ask'a is an independent project. It is not affiliated with ICQ, AOL or Mail.ru. The OSCAR server is open-oscar-server, released under the MIT license.
